FAQ

Do you have a question?

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE MEMBERSHIP TO ATTEND EVENTS?

Unlike most university societies, we do not charge a membership fee at the University of Strathclyde Law Society. Every law student at Strathclyde is automatically invited to attend our events. We sell tickets individually throughout the year prior to events.

HOW DO I JOIN THE COMMITTEE?

We recruit for the committee at the beginning of the academic year, in September. The recruitment process consists of a short application form and informal interview with senior committee members. Please note this method of recruitment is set to change in 2021, we will notify members accordingly.

I AM UNABLE TO ATTEND AN EVENT I PURCHASED A TICKET FOR, AM I ENTITLED TO A REFUND?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds once tickets have been purchased. However, where possible, we can advertise the available ticket to allow you to re-sell. We are offering refunds for the cancelled Law Ball 2020. If you have not yet applied for your refund, please contact us.

I HAVE AN IDEA FOR AN EVENT, WHO DO I CONTACT?

We are always looking for fresh ideas to remain relevant. Please contact us on any social platform, we love to hear your ideas.

I DIDN'T MANAGE TO GET A TICKET TO YOUR EVENT, IS THERE A WAITING LIST?

Due to the popularity of our events, we are usually over subscribed. We do have a waiting list, please contact us to be added to this.

I WOULD LIKE TO SPONSOR THE SOCIETY OUTWITH THE GIVEN SPONSORSHIP OPTIONS

The society is reliant on the funding we receive from sponsors. If the tailored packages do not match what you are looking for, please contact us, we are always happy to discuss different options.
